I need your help. Will you be my HERO?
I’m participating in AIDS/ Life Cycle 2014.
There is currently 176 days left before I begin the journey cycling 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
I became involved in programs like ALC because I see so many young guys, ages 18 and up, that are becoming infected with the disease. Most do not use protection and some believe that HIV/AIDS is over.
I got involved by becoming a model and spokesperson in the 2009 Testing Makes Us Stronger national campaign which focuses key U.S. cities where black gay and bisexual men are heavily affected by HIV/AIDS.
Since then I have worked to encourage others to become a HERO and participate in supporting an end to HIV/AIDS. I have committed to riding this year for the 3rd time. My goal is to raise $10,000 by June 1st 2014.
In California alone there are 151,000 people living with HIV. Nationally, 70 percent of all new infections occur in communities of color and people under the age of 25 are increasingly affected.
You have the power BECOME A HERO to help me END AIDS.
A donation of $10 or more is all that is needed to provide crucial services to those in need.
