OUR PRIORITIES | SHAUN’S EXPERIENCE | DEMOCRACY SURVEY | SQUAD 2020

I am running to represent San Franciscans as a member of the DCCC – 17th Assembly District. As a native of San Francisco, I live, work, and have engaged in grassroots progressive activism to address some of our biggest problems. Focusing on and addressing the issues for everyone – from those of us living on our streets to those of us safe and secure in our housing.

Text Squad to 66599 for our goals.

Like you, I’m fighting for a better future, for my family, friends, the community and for the health of our human society. Together, I have fought with you for social justice and progress matters of human rights, civil rights, open government, public health and safety, homeless services, worker rights and workforce development, community heritage, and preservation. Join if you live in San Francisco.

Can I count on you? YES!

Searving 7 years as an Associate Member of our San Francisco Democratic Party (DCCC – Democratic Central Countee Committee), a former Delegate of our California State Democratic Committee, Founder and President San Francisco Black Community Matters – A Chartered San Francisco Democratic Club, founder and Executive Director of San Francisco Impact Partners – an organization focused on issues concerning poverty and homelessness.

Believe we can connect on issues important to San Franciscans?

I’ve been focused on coming into every community to talk about our efforts to improve public safety, talking about ways to secure out communities through our cultural districts, talking about ways to address poverty and homeless and talking about ways to grow and diversify our democratic party to include the voice and experience of those who are often denied a seat at the table.

Election Day March 3rd. 2020

My connection to every community within our city is special because, at some point, we have been neighbors. I was born in San Francisco at General Hospital, raised in and have lived all across our great city and county, yes – I’m a unicorn and like you, I am a fighter and have survived through great hardship and disparities. We share so many of the same concerns and values, and they often include:

How we will work to build stronger and safer communities with more affordable housing

How we will work to ensure our families are healthy

How we will work ensure access to an affordable education

How we will work to create new and accessible economic opportunities at livable wages, and…

How we will work to restore and grow our city’s cultural diversity, for everyone.

(SF DCCC) Presidential Primary Election – March 3, 2020

For years, I have worked to address our concerns around voter outreach in undeserved communities, education on anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion.  I have worked to help prepare the next generation for leadership while fighting against Trump and the GOP.
